What is this all about?

This site contains what could possibly be described as one of the largest collections of photos from Western Canada on the Net. We have pictures from all over British Columbia and Alberta, including such popular places as Banff and Lake Louise, Okanagan Valley, Vancouver Island, etc. We have photos from ski resorts, campgrounds, highways, lakes and mountains, in the summer and in the middle of winter. We try to show you as much of this beautiful part of the world as we possibly can.

Why?

This website started as a collection of personal photographs of Vancouver Island, BC, called islandphoto.ca. Over time, it grew to a much larger collection of photos from different areas (hence the name change). We hope our galleries could be useful for you if you are planning a trip somewhere and are doing research about the place before setting off. Or, please feel free to use our forums if you have questions, we'd be happy to answer.

Can I contribute?

Yes! If you have some photos from a place not covered in existing galleries, or have photos that could expand an existing gallery, please use our contact form and let us know! We will give full credit to all provided photos, it's a great way to promote your own photography. We also greatly value travel feedback.
